Jennifer Lopez teams up with rapper/reggaeton artist Pitbull for the club hit “On the Floor”, the second single off of her “Love?” album. The two recently performed the song on American Idol. The song samples “Lloranda se Fue” by Los Kjarka but more popularly known from the song “Lamabada” by Kaoma released in 1989.
The music video, for “On the Floor,” was directed by TAJ Stansberry and choreographed by Frank Gatson Jr. The video debuted simultaneously on Vevo and American Idol. In the video, Lopez is seen as the queen of a LA nightclub. Scenes depict an underground club culture and with the styling, choreography and fashion paying homage to the dance-beginnings of Lopez’s career.
