CaribPics: Christiansted’s Historical Tower

While I am a writer by skill I like to think that I have a natural talent for photography. I returned to my home island of St. Croix last year August after living in Florida for exactly six years. One of the first places I took my digital camera was downtown Christiansted. Historically beautiful and once the capital of the former Danish West Indies, this Danish built town is the shopping district of the island. Along its cobble walkways restaurants, gift shops, galleries, jewelry stores, and so much more awaits. If you ever visit the island be sure to visit the National Park Monuments that includes the Custom Building, Fort Christiansvaern, the steeple building, the Scale house, and other buildings. Also located on the waterfront is a historical tower that has been restored and  turned into a bar.

Check out the beautiful photo I took on a very hot day…
