Mastery of a target market comes with an understanding of  the industries involved. Jozette Walker, CEO, Founder and Publishing Editor of CaribVue was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. She hails from a multi-ethnic and cultural background with 200+ years of Crucian heritage with family ties to Antigua, Barbados, Denmark, Puerto Rico, & the Dominican Republic.

As a child Jozette read anything she could get her hands on, wrote poetry, short stories, and songs. In her leisure time history texts and encyclopedias captured her attention. Highly intellectual she was affectionately called “Ms. Know It All” or ” the Dictionary” by family and friends. Jozette’s writing skills were first recognized in the Seventh Grade when she won a Dept. of Education essay contest. During the same year Jozette entered a church essay contest on the 10 Commandments capturing 1st prize. Not only smart but talented, she was blessed with a beautiful voice but decided to approach the entertainment business from behind the scenes. Jozette set her sights on a career as a Business/Entertainment attorney while still a freshman at the St. Croix Educational Complex.

Currently, Ms. Walker is a college student majoring in Business Administration & Marketing with a career goal of becoming a Intellectual Property/Business Lawyer. Past college coursework includes: Principles of Accounting, Principles of  Marketing, Intro to Business, Public Speaking, Professional/Technical Writing, Mass Communications, Supervision & Management, Business Ethics, Business Law I & II. She has also taken courses with QC School of Event Planning earning the distinction of International Event & Wedding Professional (IEWP™).  Other professional credentials include multiple business certificates.  Her ultimate academic goal is to attend Law School at FIU.  Her work history includes administrative and managerial roles as an: Administrative Manager at Ehring Enterprises dba Thalgo USA, Event Coordinator at CTI Promotions, and Office Manager at Inubia Homecare Services.  In each position, her marketing and communications skills have played an important role contributing to each company’s profitability.

An entrepreneur in her own right, Ms. Walker has created a number of business projects under her parent company ComEikon (com-icon). Her current focus is the development of En’Core (a full-service marketing communications and special events firm). An avid writer and freelance publicist Jozette created CaribVue, a digital magazine in July of 2010 with the goal of bringing Caribbean culture to the mainstream while showcasing entertainment, business, and lifestyle trends.  She is currently an independent Media Consultant specializing in Public Relations, Marketing, and Professional Writing.

Returning to her home island of St. Croix in 2010, Jozette has already worked with the following businesses and organizations:  DJS Entertainment, Caribbean Education Initiative, Sun Stroke Promotions & Advertising, Massive Management & Productions, and A Taste of St. Croix. Her professional affiliations include membership with the St. Croix Young Professionals’ Network and the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Walker is currently the Public Relations & Community Outreach Chair for the St. Croix Young Professionals’ Network, a premier group of young business professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs on the island.

This multimedia mogul in the making is motivated and driven by success and carries with her the pride of the Virgin Islands and an optimistic and driven approach to life.
