CaribBar: Blue Margarita Recipe

You may hear this Blue Margarita called a Moonlight Margarita or an Electric Margarita, but they are all essentially the same. The defining ingredient is the Blue Curacao, which replaced the triple sec of the original Margarita and keeps that same orange flavor but changes the cocktail’s color to a beautiful, deep blue. So you get the same great taste in disguise.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Tequila
  • 1 oz Blue Curacao
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Kosher salt for rimming

Directions:

  1. Pour all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake and pour into a margarita glass rimmed with salt.
  3. Garnish with a lime wedge.
