Caribbean Sea: U.S. Virgin Islands DPNR & the Lionfish
The Department of Planning and Natural Resources has been diligently working to manage and control the rapidly growing lionfish population. Now as part of that effort, they’re encouraging residents to put them on the plate and eat them. They also want more fisherman to have incentives for catching the spiny predator, and they hope to get legislative funding to assist the fishermen in that regard.
