The town of Frederiksted is submerged by water. Water has covered the roads of the Waterfront, Emancipation Drive, the St. Croix Legislature Building, Concordia, and La Grange. The playground and baseball fields appeared to be lakes as rivers of waters flowed to the ocean. The bridge over the gut gave way and the surrounding road immediately collapsed giving way to extreme erosion of sand and soil. Worda cannot describe but the pictures most certainly will…Images 3, 5, & 7 are credited to Bill Kossler. Other images were taken from Facebook albums of friends.

Cover art of Michael Jackson’s upcoming posthumous album Michael courtesy of michaeljackson.com created by Kadir Nelson.
The King of Pop lives and he’s still making the headlines on his newest single “Breaking News”. The song begins with static sounds as we hear audio clips of news centered around Michael Jackson. The music begins as Michael addresses the news and allegations surrounding him. Michael sings, ““Everybody wanting a piece of Michael Jackson, reporters stalking the moves of Michael Jackson, just when you thought he was done, he comes to give again,” amidst his trademark screams. Michael the album is set for release on December 14, 2010.
Tracks on the upcoming Michael have been contested by his mother, Katherine Jackson and his children Paris and Prince who doubt the authenticity of his voice as reported by www.tmz.com. While “Breaking News” was completed posthumously by producer Eddie Cascio, Sony claims that the track is definitely Michael and that it was recorded in Cascio’s New Jersey home during 2007 according to www.michaeljackson.com. Sony as of last week stated that voice authentication was done and that the tracks are not fakes. Michael’s father, Joe Jackson believes that authentic or not the tracks should have never been released as this was Michael’s wish.
We may never know what Michael really wanted, but as a Virgo I know that Michael must have had the perfectionist mentality not wanting to release any of his work prematurely. Michael’s perfectionism and talent is what made him great and even if these tracks are not his greatest; I’m sure that they are far superior to the work of many recording artists both past and present. Michael is not Caribbean but he has in some way affected just about every Caribbean artist’s performance skills of this I am certain.
